"La-di-da, la-di-da, la la" - Annie Hall

{love, hearts, glitter, flowers, pastry}

I know this is a show from two seasons ago, but I had to post anyway.  This should tell you about my infatuation with Sonia Rykiel.  The 79 year old french designer celebrated her 40 years of my kinda fashion with a happy birthday party and fashion show for the Spring/Summer 2009 Collection at the Parc de Saint-Cloud in Paris.  At the end of the show the designer was surprised by a 30pc collection designed in her honor by fellow fashion designers, Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Lauren, Jeremy Scott, Rodarte, Martin Margiela, Lanvin, Giorgio Armani, Christian Lacroix, and Chanel. *smile*

watch the full fashion show below in 3 parts and a bonus clip with commentary from Sonia Rykiel.

Style Studio {Diane von Furstenberg and Gloria Vanderbilt}

Not to go unnoticed, 85 year old Designer/Socialite/Author/and Mum to hot CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper...Gloria Vanderbilt, penned an erotic novel which was release this past summer.  Obsession: An Erotic Tale (HarperCollins), had many of New York's Society in an uproar.  One in particular, New York Post columnist Andrea Peyser called it "pure, elegant, unadulterated smut".

But there was at least one outspoken, lovely (eyestylez fav) supporter of the book, Diane von Furstenberg.  The famed-n-fabulous designer hosted a party for the author shortly after the books release at her Meatpacking District store.  After reading the book herself, von Furstenberg said, "I was actually floored. It truly reminded me of when I was a little girl and I read the “Story of O,” which is a book that I adored. ["Obsession"] is not a book for guys. It's very much of a woman’s fantasy, but it’s brilliant."  The designer also said of her fellow designer's latest book "It’s very, very, very, very erotic."

All the "very" makes eyestylez even, even, even, even more interested. ;-)
